[She takes his hands-- specifically, his fingers, and draws him down toward herself, sidestepping his desk so when he lands it's in an open space. She brings their joined hands together, lacing her fingers through his to keep a hold of him while she taps her fingertips together, quietly saying "Release" to allow gravity to drag him back to the ground.]

[She lets go of his hands, then, and taps her index finger to her cheek.]

Who's to say I haven't?

[It's always a fascinating thing, watching other peoples' Quirks in action. Kirishima has been surrounded by them all his life, from people who just have a knack for turning their own into a spectacle like Mina, to others who are a spectacle on their own, like Bakugou. Ochako though, on the other hand, was a sort of...middle ground he couldn't quite place. She was excitable and bubbly and tended to make friends with everyone, but she could get flustered and worked up just as easily as anyone else. Easier than some, actually. He can imagine having a Quirk like hers would be a problem in that kind of situation.

He watches her as she fidgets with his hands a little so she can release her Quirk's hold on him, and it's almost too quickly how fast he goes back down to the ground. He's ready for it though, so he at least doesn't end up flat on his ass.

Once he's on solid ground he leans back on his heels and smirks, showing off his rows of spiked teeth.]

Hoh, is that right? I should know better than to underestimate you, then!

[She grins at him, balling both hands into fists near her face like a boxer, bouncing onto her toes and back.]

That's right! Even Bakugou took me seriously in a fight, I'm nothing to shake a stick at! [She's a little proud of that. But then she draws her hands closer to her collarbone, setting her knuckles there and the gesture looks much more girlish and meek, her smile softening.] But! We've been classmates for a while, and I don't know you very well! So-- what's the "manly" way to ask this. [She... just threw a gang hand symbol, her hand splayed as she ducked forward into a slight crouch.] We should hang!!

Pfff.

[He very nearly laughs at her without meaning to, but oh my god Ochako what is that. He'd have taken it more seriously from someone like Mina, because she just...does that, but something about that is just really funny 'and he can't put his finger on why. But once the urge to chuckle has passed- mostly- he lifts a hand and rubs the back of his neck.]

'Hang' with Uraraka, huh...

[On the word "hang", Kirishima suddenly mimics exactly what she just did, throwing out his hand and crouching down with a lot more difficult of a time not laughing this time. He pops back up a second later though, letting his hands relax again so he can push them into his pockets.]

Sure, I'd be game for that!

[The good news, at least, is she's very difficult to offend. So when he crouches down and mimics her strange gang signs, she laughs right with him as she stands back straight. She claps her hands together a moment later, delighted, and curls the fingers of one hand around the other.]

Great! I'm sorry, I don't really know much about being manly, but-- You're an expert, so you should absolutely teach me.

I'll teach you everything I know! You'll be as manly as I am! Manlier even!

Dunno if you had anything specific in mind you wanted to do as far as 'hanging' goes, but you're in luck! I just barely scraped through Mic-sensei's last English exam, so I'll be free all day!

[No bad grades gay baby jail for Kirishima today!!]

Well I'll have the best teacher around, so I'll certainly do my best!

[GanbaRuby. She claps her hands again, bouncing on her toes in excitement for him.]

Oh, congratulations! His exams are rough, especially since he screeches so much if you don't do well!! Do you wanna grab some sweets? There's a little cafe near where I used to live that has a sale on mochi today! [She loves mochi. Let her show you the world of mochi, Kirishima.]

[Man he's always game for sweet shit, and he especially likes the sound of mochi...]

Hell yeah I do! Let's go right now!

[Mochi isn't exactly a manly thing necessarily, but it doesn't have to be. It's good and that's all that really matters.]

[Kirishima you might be her new favorite. She bounces again and then rushes forward, hooking her arm through his at the elbow to drag him out of the classroom.]

Great!! Off we go. Where did you live with your family before we moved into the dorms, Kirishima-kun?

Where'd I live? In Chiba Prefecture!

[He gives her a thumbs up as he says that, having a bit of a delay registering that she's grabbed his arm and dragged him along. He's childhood friends with Mina though, it kinda comes with the territory.]

Really was somethin' else moving all the way over here after being out there for so long.

[Her mouth forms a small "o", and she releases his arm once he's following her on his own.]

Chiba! That is a bit of a ways. I bet your commute to school in the mornings was rough before the dorms.

Not really! I'm used to running and stuff to train, so it just gave me an excuse to make myself get up in the morning so I wouldn't walk in late.

[And yet he still did sometimes anyway. He isn't...a model student...]

[She nudges him gently in the ribs.]

Oh come on, you know we've all walked in a little late at least once.

[A beat.] ...well, except Iida-kun and YaoMomo. I have my suspicions that Iida-kun sleeps in the classroom sometimes.

W-well yeah, I mean...I never said I didn't sometimes...!

Iida don't count. He'd live at school if it were allowed.

If he hadn't shown us his dorm room and all his glasses I'd assume he'd somehow rigged a hammock up in the rafters.

[He looks a little flustered, suddenly, lifting a hand to rub at the back of his neck as his gaze shifts elsewhere.]

Yeah, I've known her a long time...she hasn't really changed a whole lot between then and now, yaknow?
