Three's a crowd

karappo[Going on dates regularly isn't something that Karamatsu ever thought he'd get used to. He also never thought that it would be normal for his girlfriend to pay for them, but what else could he expect, really? He was lucky to have her to begin with, so he wasn't going to complain too much, as if he really had anything to complain about.
But as much as he really enjoys being doted on, cared for, living a life both not having to do much and having a girl who loves him for who he is...it makes him want to be able to treat her. But to do that, he has to have money, which...he doesn't have.
So what does he do? He saves. He saves and saves the allowance that she gives him over several long weeks of just holding onto it without spending, as much as he'd been admiring that new jacket in the shop in town, or that expensive set of guitar picks that supposedly made your music sound like it came straight from the angels of heaven. No, he resists all of that temptation just for the purposes of taking Mahiru out to a little outdoor cafe (not at all like Sutaba, thankfully) that isn't extremely fancy or anything, but...it's nice. And it's affordable, and Karamatsu's paying for everything.
Kindof. Indirectly with Mahiru's money.
He's even dressed respectably today too, just another effort on his part to make this day as special as it can possibly be. They've already been seated at the cute little patio outside that isn't too crowded. It's a beautiful day and the temperature is just right. There's plenty of food and drink to go around, and Karamatsu has made sure that he has enough to pay for extra if she decides she wants it.
It's...perfect.
Nothing could ruin this afternoon. Nothing.]
