[You're a good friend, Ren. Whatever it was that caused Ryuji to indulge in a sudden bout of underage drinking is apparently not something he's willing to divulge just yet, and least of all over text. But he doesn't mind if he comes over...he just doesn't imagine he'll be much interesting company right now.
At least when he invites Ren out to train or (much more rarely) to cram study, they have something to actually do. Talking about feelings is a bit outside of Ryuji's wheelhouse.]

[Of course he hopes Ryuji will confide in him if he needs to. But there's no intention to press. If anything he just wants to make sure Ryuji is safe while doing it.
He knows Ryuji's tendency towards impulsive violence. He knows about... his family history. So just having another person there will ease his worries a lot. He does ask Mona to stay home though- the two butt heads too easily and he doesn't want to settle a fight.

Positive. If I was trapped in one of those horror movies that was like "Whichever Ann you pick is gonna get it!" and the other one was like a fake copy of you, and both of you were trying to convince me you were the real one, I'd pick you out immediately.
I believe everyone has those days of melancholy, inexplicable though they may be.
